I hope everyone in the US had a Happy Thanksgiving. Yesterday is a day known for eating a bunch of great food, spending time with family, friends and loved ones, drinking some wine or beer and watching football. I did all of those.
It’s of course a day we’re supposed to thing thanks for all of the wonderful things in our life that we’re grateful for.
Many of us probably don’t take enough time to think about all the reasons to be grateful (myself included) and I wanted to take a moment to share you with many of the things I’m grateful for this year.
I’ll try to keep this short so you can dive into your Turkey and beverage of choice. Here is my personal and partial list.
I’m grateful for all of the Mobile Mixed readers and email subscribers
Since I started Mobile Mixed in May of this year (2012) I’ve had the pleasure to get to know many of you, email you, skype you and connect on the internets. It’s been a blessing to have you follow my journey (which you’re doing without actually knowing it) and continuing to grow your own skills and knowledge on mobile. I’m grateful that you’ve found what we’re doing here at Mobile Mixed important and am grateful for all of those that continue down this road with me.
I’m grateful for all of the amazing guests we’ve had on Mobile Mixed
It is truly a blessing to have had the chance to interview and more importantly build relationships with all of the guests that have been on the show thus far. Many of the guests have been mentors to me in ways they don’t even know and for that I’m grateful. Hell, I never thought I’d be talking mobile with the head of mobile for CNN (Thanks Louis), the head of mobile for Jetblue (You’re my boy Jonathan) and some amazing marketers and authors (Thanks, Jeff Hasen, Bruce Hershey, Cindy Krum, Jared Reitzin).
I’m glad you believe in the what we’re doing here at Mobile Mixed and look forward to having you all back on the show to keep teaching others the importance and benefit of integrating mobile.
I’m grateful for Naushad Huda for doing This Month In Mobile with me
Naushad, thank you for taking the time to shoot the sh*t on mobile each month. It’s been fun so far and I consider you a good friend and trusted resource for my own personal development. I look forward to some great episodes with you in 2013.
I’m grateful to the amazing mentors that drive and inspire me
Some of you may not even know you’re my mentors but I continue to learn from all of you and I am so grateful that you’ve either taken the time to speak with me one-on-one (over and over), share your own experiences and challenges with the world and continue to be awesome, gracious, caring and inspiring people.
So thank you Sonia Simone (you also inspired this post with your Copyblogger post), Noah Kagan, Pat Flynn, Lewis Howes, Sean Malarkey, Derek Halpern, Gary Barnes, David Siteman Garland, John Dee, Bruce Hershey, Jeff Hasen and Jared Reitzin. I’m sure I’m missing some amazing folks and I thank you too.
I’m grateful I worked up the nerve…
To ask Mobile Marketer, Mobile Marketing Watch and Target Marketing Magazine to guest blog about mobile. It’s been a great ride thus far and I’m looking to create more engaging content for all of these great partners and more.
I’m grateful for my wonderful family
I’m so thankful to all of them and putting up with me talking about phones and supporting everything I do. This includes my wonderful dog Koda.
I’m grateful for my beautiful girlfriend
Thanks for putting up with me checking my phone a lot. I’ve gotten a lot better I think… I think… I appreciate all of your support and love and couldn’t be more proud of you and your journey to becoming a doctor.
I’m grateful for my health
Living a healthy life has become a very important part of my life. I have slowly become addicted to CrossFit and Gymnastics, both of which I do multiple times a week and for that I’m in some of the best shape of my life. It’s going to be interesting how it transitions into my performance into my mountain bike riding in 2013. Eat healthy, stay active and you’ll see the benefits.
I’m grateful for you
I know, I know, I said it already but seriously…I’m so stoked for the Mobile Mixed community, readers and iTunes listeners. I continue to learn and all of your feedback, encouragement, kind words etc drive me to make this site the best place to learn mobile marketing with NO-HYPE! So thank you!
How about you?
What are you grateful for this year? If it wasn’t Thanksgiving time for you then take a moment to reflect anyway. It’s important to look back and see where you were planning to go and where you are now and evaluate how you can continue to grow both yourself and business.
Please share what you’re thankful for in the comments below.
