Today I received a question on Twitter from @oliviahaverson and it was a honestly a great question so I thought I’d create “Mobile Moment” if you will to answer Olivia’s question. First, I’d just like to thank Olivia for including me in her question. You only get 140 characters with a tweet so I feel humbled that I was one of five folks she asked. Ok, so lets dive in.
Should the growth of mobile affect a brands social strategy? If so, how?
Before you watch the video lets look at some intersting numbers as of recent:
- Over 50% of Facebook’s usage comes from a mobile device. (source)
- 92% of adult mobile owners use their phone for texting (source)
- Over 50% of twitter’s usage is from a mobile device (source)
- 2/3 of mobile data will be from mobile video by 2015 (CTIA Conference 2012)
