Mobile marketing automation puts your message at your customer’s fingertips at the exact moment it will have the biggest impact.
While currently in its infancy — VentureBeat states that penetration is about 1.5 percent, yet the opportunities are significant.
Things such as personalized real-time engagement, hyper-contextual targeting through triggers like location and behavior and analytics will allow narrow segmentation of users or customers.
These are the sorts of things that get me excited as someone who loves data.
Right now, mobile marketing automation is happening mostly within an app environment and it’s something only bigger brands are able to tackle.
Not anymore though.
I recently got back from attending ICON, which is the annual conference for Infusionsoft.
Infusionsoft is a sales and marketing software for small business. It harnesses the power of automation to organize contacts, turn leads into customers and transform customers into raving fans.
I’m actually a fairly new customer of Infusionsoft myself, and in about 8 months of using it, I’ve fallen in love with it.
After attending this conference and learning more about its capabilities as well as the future plans for the company, I’m convinced this is, and will continue to be, a go to solution for small businesses to grow.
I was super pumped to see that there are a handful of mobile related companies now integrating with Infusionsoft as well.
In fact, some of these tools allow small businesses to execute similar campaigns to that of some bigger brands.
One of the biggest challenges for big brands and enterprise, is that getting the many disparate systems to talk to each other is more challenging. A lot of this has to do with politics, but this is why small businesses have the advantage…
Especially if they are using a tool like Infusionsoft.
Combinging Infusionsoft with a tool like Mobit brings mobile marketing automation and engagement to small businesses like never before.
I can literally execute the exact campaigns for a small business that I was executing for a large brand like Cabelas. Only I can get it done faster and for less money.
I’m convinced enough that I’m getting certified in both Infusionsoft and already certified in Mobit’s platform as well as Social Fuse, two tools that allow SMS marketing to integrate nicely with Infusionsoft.
What’s also interesting is that Infusionsoft announced a $55 million round of funding late in 2014, which is going to help them get even more small businesses using their tool.
Mobile marketing automation is here for small business and Mobile Marketing Engine is going to be focused on bringing smart and effective mobile engagement campaigns to them.
Overall, marketing automation is not new. Marketers have long been using it for web and email campaigns. Big brands have turned to solutions like Marketo or Pardot. But the customization available with mobile marketing automation is what makes it so revolutionary, especially for small business.
Adam Marchick, CEO of Kahuna, told VentureBeat -“It’s not about sending 10 messages. It’s about sending the best one message,”
That’s why I’m super excited about a lot of these tools becoming available to small businesses.
Mobile engagement and automation are here and it’s only going to get better.
